Frequently Asked Questions
Absolutely. We have classes suitable for all experience levels, including complete beginners. For Reformer Pilates we suggest starting with our Foundations classes, before progressing to Challenge. We also occasionally run 6 week beginners courses, check the website for dates.
Our instructors provide clear guidance to help you feel comfortable and confident. If you're new to Pilates, we recommend arriving a few minutes early so we can introduce you to the equipment and answer any questions before class begins.
Yes, parking is available on site and nearby. Due to the nature of the car park, please allow crossover time (10 minutes) from the class before to leave as it can get busy.
Often people in the same class park around the round-about if they are leaving at the same time. Please avoid parking on the grass of the driveway.
Our studio can be a little tricky to find the first time!
It is just off Farnham Road, round behind the M&S petrol garage. If you then take a right down Bowenhurst Lane, the entrance gates are immediately on your left. If you see the entrance to Junglemania Golf, we are just before on the opposite side. The entrance/parking area does look private and homely, this is the right place!

Grip socks are required for Reformer Pilates classes. They provide stability on the equipment and help maintain a clean, hygienic studio. If you don't have a pair, they are available to purchase at the studio.
To avoid loss of class credit or fee, please cancel your booking at least 12 hours before the scheduled class time. This helps us manage our schedule fairly and ensures spaces can be filled.
Cancellations are managed via your account in the ClassFit booking platform.
If somebody drops out of a class more than 12 hours before it starts, the first person on the waitlist will be automatically notified via email that a spot has opened up. This client will have one hour to confirm if they want to take the available spot.
If they accept: The client is added to the class.
If they decline or do not respond within the hour: The next person on the waitlist is notified, and the process repeats until the spot is filled or all waitlisted clients have been contacted.
If no one on the waitlist takes the spot, it will be made available to the public.
When a space becomes available within 12 hours of the class start time, all members on the waitlist will be notified at the same time, and the spot will be available on a first-come, first-served basis to anyone on the waitlist or the public.
The easiest way to book is through our online booking system connected to our website & Instagram. You can also search for 'Francescas' on the ClassFit app. We recommend booking in advance, as classes can fill quickly
In most cases, yes. Pilates can be a safe and beneficial form of exercise throughout pregnancy, provided your midwife or doctor has confirmed it's suitable for you.
We recommend booking classes with one of our pre/post natal qualified instructors. You can find these on our Team page or by viewing the instructors bio on our booking site.
Exercises can be adapted throughout your pregnancy, finding suitable modifications where needed. The most important thing is to listen to your body and work within your comfort level. For the best experience, we recommend a gentler class (such as Reformer Foundations, rather than Challenge) to help both you and the instructor feel confident and comfortable throughout the session.
Please let us know you're pregnant before your class, either on our intake form or by sending us an email. The instructor will need time to prepare any necessary equipment and tailor the class.
We'd also appreciate if you could gently remind your instructor how many weeks pregnant you are as you progress. Different stages of pregnancy require different modifications and guidelines to keep both you and baby safe.
Most importantly - Congratulations!
In many cases, yes. Pilates can often be adapted to accommodate certain injuries. However, we recommend consulting a healthcare professional first, and informing your instructor before class so we can provide appropriate modifications when available.
Some classes may be more suitable than others. For example Reformer Foundations may be more suitable than Challenge.
Please ensure you have completed an intake form, and any other queries can be sent to info@francescasstudios.com
